The International
University for Human Transformation (IUHT),
has come into existence vide Government
Notification No. F 73-78/2003/H.E./38
dated 28th June 2003 of the Government
of Chhattisgarh, Raipur, notified to the
public through Government of Chhattisgarh,
Gazette Notification dated 4th July 2003.
No country can think of attaining a place
of prosperity, happiness, and peace with
honour and dignity in the comity of nations
without adequate investment in building
up human infrastructure including education.
It is also equally valid that the process
of building human infrastructure especially
education cannot be given a big push forward
by relying solely on government funding
and effort. In this gigantic endeavour
the Non Government Organisations (NGOs)
have to play their role in the nation
building endeavour and global reconstruction.
The birth of IUHT is unique inasmuch
as the University would focus on meeting
national requirements of quality higher
education with global vision and perspective.
The process of globalization has offered
numerous opportunities and at the same
time posed a number of problems for the
country in general and higher education
in particular. The concept of inviting
private participation to spread education
in different parts of the country, and
yet keep both the national and international
market requirements in view is a challenging
task which IUHT would strive to fulfill
in the larger national and global interest.
The IUHT has entered into strategic alliances
with a number of foreign universities
through its corporate unit INDELTA INDIA,
which is the sole representative in India
of INDELTA, Australia, which has joint
ventures with more than two dozen universities
spread over different continents of the
world having international rating and
reputation. Our University would provide
the facility of earning dual degree/credit(s)
by going through the scheme of education
entitling the students to get the degree
of IUHT as well as the degree/credits
of a foreign university in the course
of study which they will be pursuing at
the graduate or post-graduate levels.
The IUHT also has plans to provide Online
education through the joint effort of
Indelta India and Indelta Australia for
the students who join our university.
The IUHT has been conceived and made
operational by the Society for Human Transformation
and Research (SHTR) registered at Chhattisgrah.
The distinguishing feature of the society
is that it has been promoted by the luminaries
from the field of academics having national
and international recognition. It was
the dream of some academicians that there
should be an institution dedicated to
sustainable human development through
transformation of human beings, the most
important divinely creation on this earth.
IUHT is the fructification of that dream.
It is a University dedicated to the human
and institutional development for the
betterment and progress of the global
society. It is committed to excellence
in education and research aiming at the
development of competent and humane educated
persons who have the mission of serving
not only the people of India but also
the people of the world. The IUHT would
strive to blend education, training, research,
and consulting in a manner that the products
of the university get an opportunity to
build the bridge between the knowledge
they acquire and the practices they are
expected to execute in the chosen field
of their work with the mission to further
extend the frontiers of human well-being
and betterment.
